Greetings!

Congratulations to the winners of the runoff elections for the Police Jury seats, Lea Reid Williams for District 1 and Ken Dawson for District 6. Also, a special thanks to Butch Jones for his years of service to the Police Jury, as well as to all who ran.

Many thanks also to the teams, hole sponsors, and participants who turned out for the annual Swing for Scholarships Golf Tournament held last Monday at The Bluffs. With 21 teams competing, the Chamber met its funding goals for the scholarship. Special thanks go out to the Chamber's Chair for this event, Clay Pinson, our President, Miles Higgins, and to Michael Clarke and The Bluffs, for making this Tournament such a great success.

One last note on the election of nominees to the Chamber Board - biographies of each of the candidates will be posted to the Chamber's website later this week.
