His office has created the Domestic Violence in the Workplace initiative to assist employers in creating a comprehensive and compassionate workplace response to domestic violence that includes adopting safe, inexpensive and effective operational protocols.
As your Chamber, we are in a position to alert local businesses to the availability of this program, as a resource in providing complimentary educational and technical assistance training on implementing effective domestic violence policies and programs. Indeed, many companies and corporations are required by law or policy to provide ongoing safety training to their employees.
